What Does Error Code 1930 Mean?

Chief Mechanic · September 5, 2010 ·

According to Intuit, Error Code 1930 indicates that the print driver is not compatible with a Windows security policy enabled on your computer.  This error can occur when installing or using the integrated QuickBooks PDF Converter, the driver licensed by Intuit from from Amyuni Technologies.

This error can occur under Windows XP or Server 2003 if the Windows security policy “Enable installation of Kernel mode printer drivers” in your local security policy settings is set to off.  Before proceeding to other troubleshooting steps, either turn this security policy setting to on or upgrade to a newer version of the PDF Converter.  Since the QuickBooks PDF Converter came bundled with QuickBooks, upgrading the converter involves upgrading to a newer version of QuickBooks.

This error is tied to a long series of similar errors associated with printing to a PDF using the integrated driver.

If you need to upgrade, you can compare the features and prices on QuickBooks products by reviewing the information and links at our Buy QuickBooks page.
