According to Intuit, the error “The installed product does not match the installation source” can occur if you attempt to do 1 of the following:
- install more than 1 version of QuickBooks from the same product and year, such as an attempt to install 2 versions of QuickBooks Premier 2009 or
- attempt an installation where the installation source file (QuickBooks.msi) is different from the installer used when you first installed QuickBooks
